contents Adsorptive stripping voltammetry of In(III) in the presence of pyrogallol red in chloride-acetate media J. C. Aguilar J. de Gyves E. Rodríguez de San Miguel Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) In(III) pyrogallol red Adsorptive stripping voltammetry In this work optimal working conditions were establishedfor the adsorptive stripping analysis of In(III) on a hanging mercurydrop electrode with pyrogallol red as the preconcentration agent inchloride-acetate media using staircase and square-wave voltammetry(SCV and SWV). The influence of ligand adsorption and concentration, supporting electrolyte and pH on the voltammetric response wasstudied. From these results the stoichiometric ratio of the complexand the value of its corresponding formation constant were determined.Under optimized chemical and instrumental conditions limitsof detection (3s) of 7.0 ´ 10–9 M and 4.0 ´ 10–9 M were obtained forSCV and SWV, respectively, using a deposition time of 90 s. The relativestandard deviations (n = 21) were 3.3 and 4.8 % for a 1.5 ´10–7 M In(III) concentration. The results of an analysis carried out forindium present in aluminum alloys were in good agreement withthose obtained using ICP-AES as an alternative method. 2001 artículo científico 1870-249X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=47545104 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=475 Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society application/pdf Sociedad Química de México Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society (México) Num.1 Vol.45
