- Chemical Composition and Antimicrobial Activity of the Essential Oils from Annona cherimola (Annonaceae) María Yolanda Ríos Federico Castrejón Norma Robledo Ismael León Gabriela Rojas Víctor Navarro Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) trans α β pinene copaene The chemical composition of the essential oils obtained bysteam distillation of the fresh leaves, flowers and fruits from Annonacherimola was analyzed by means of Gas Chromatography-MassSpectrometry (GC/MS). Sixty constituents were identified from theoils. While bicyclogermacrene, trans-caryophyllene and δ-amorphenewere found to be the major constituents in the oil of the leaves;bicyclogermacrene, α-terpinolene and germacrene D were the majorconstituents in the oil of the flowers and β-pinene, α-terpinolene, β-fenchyl alcohol and α-pinene were the major constituents in the oil ofthe fruits. The in vitro antimicrobial activity of the three essential oilsand of some of their major constituents against five Gram (±) bacteriaand one fungus is reported. 2003 artículo científico 1870-249X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=47547210 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=475 Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society application/pdf Sociedad Química de México Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society (México) Num.2 Vol.47
