- Mass Transfer Measurements in a Parallel Disk Cell Using the Limiting Current Technique Marco Antonio Quiroz Uriel Alejandro Martínez-Huitle Carlos Alberto Martínez-Huitle Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) Electrochemical cell Engineering parameters Mass transfer coefficient limiting diffusion current technique Mass transfer measurements in electrochemical cell using adifferent design and Reynolds numbers have been made in a parallelplate cell of disk geometry. The cell has only one inlet and exit, which produces extremely complex hydrodynamics in the cell. Themass-transfer coefficient was obtained using limiting diffusion currenttechnique based in ferricyanide ion reduction, also overall masstransfer coefficients were correlated to the Reynolds number rangebetween 80 to 1039. Here, we have made a theoretical approximationof the mass-transfer coefficient for disk geometry using the Leviquerelation. Finally, the disk design cell has showed improvements in themass transfer coefficient 2005 artículo científico 1870-249X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=47549304 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=475 Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society application/pdf Sociedad Química de México Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society (México) Num.3 Vol.49
