  • Toxicity Assessment of Structurally Relevant Natural Products from Mexican Plants with Antinociceptive Activity Karina Martinez-Mayorga Andrés F. Medina-Franco Baldomero Esquivel-Rodriguez Multidisciplinaria (Ciencias Naturales y Exactas) UNIIQUIM analgesics nociception toxicity profile traditional Mexican medicine UNIIQUIM database contains molecules from Mexicanplants, one of the richest sources of bioactive molecules in the world. Here, we describe the chemical and toxicological profile of moleculeswith analgesic activity from UNIIQUIM. Most of the compounds arelikely to interact with opioid receptors. The predicted acute toxicity islow and none is predicted mutagenic. Given the structural diversity, and biological and toxicity profiles, these molecules represent a newavenue in the search of molecules with antinociceptive activity. 2017 artículo científico 1870-249X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=47553303003 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=475 Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society application/pdf Sociedad Química de México Journal of the Mexican Chemical Society (México) Num.3 Vol.61
