They ha- ve both also been used for determi- nation of material defects in mode- r at e siz e o b jects. In medical and ot- he r ap plicat io ns the y c o mplement conventional tomography. There are many situations where one wants to mo nit or the electrical conductivity of different portions of an object, for instance, to find out whether a metal o b je c t, p ossib l y larg e, has invisible cracks. This kind of tomography, us ual ly called Electrical Impedance T omography or EIT, has also medical ap plications like monitoring of b lo o d flo w . While CT and MRI are related to Euclidean geometry, EIT is closely related to hyperbolic geo- metry. A question that has arisen in the recent past is whether there is si- milar “topographic” method to mo- nitor the “health” of networks. Our objective is to explain how EIT ideas can in fa ct effectively be used in this context. 2009 artículo científico 1390-3837 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=476150830008 es http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=4761 Universitas-XXI, Revista de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas application/pdf Universidad Politécnica Salesiana Universitas-XXI, Revista de Ciencias Sociales y Humanas (Ecuador) Num.11 |
