contents Geochemical, textural, mineralogical and micropaleontological data used for climatic reconstruction during the Holocene in the Galician sector of the Iberian continental margin F. Rocha C. Gomes V. Gomes J. Jouanneau O. Weber J. Dias V. Martins Ciencias de la Tierra Galicia Holocene geochemical data marine sediments climatic oscillations In the present study, Al, Ca, Cd, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mg, Mn, Ni, Pb and Cd concentrations were determined in the sediments ofthe KSGX 40 core collected from the Galicia muddy patch (NW Iberian continental shelf). The results were integrated togetherwith textural, mineralogical and micropaleontological (foraminifera) data in order to determine the possible climatic influence onthe type of sedimentation that took place in the muddy patch. The geochemical data of the KSGX 40 core suggest that sedimentcomposition and texture were significantly influenced, over the last 5.2 kyr, by the Holocene sea transgression and by climaticoscillations consisting of both relatively temperate/cold periods and relatively warm/wet periods. 2005 artículo científico 0185-3880 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=48003116 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=480 Ciencias Marinas application/pdf Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Ciencias Marinas (México) Num.1B Vol.31
