- Efecto de la densidad sobre el crecimiento y la producción secundaria de juveniles de euvofu (pecten) ziczac, bajo condiciones de cultivo suspendido Luis Freites Beatriz Vera Aníbal Vélez César Lodeiros Ciencias de la Tierra bivalves densities pectinids marine cuhures Euvola (Pecten) ziczac The effect of density on growth and secondary production of Euvola ziczac was studied undersuspended culture conditions from June 1988 to January 1989. Seven different densities were examined, using juveniles from 9.6 k 0.3 mm long and 5.17 f 0.6 mg dry weight, which were previouslycultivated under hatchery conditions. The growth rate in size and biomass was relatively fast in thegroup containing 200 specimens/m (5.2 mm and 85.94 mg), followed by the lots with 400, 600 and800 specimens/m (4.0 mm and 52.89 mg). The lots with 1,600, 2,400 and 3,200 specimens/mshowed slow growth. The maximum biological load tolerated was found to be 120 f 10 glm, afterwhich individual growth slowed down and mortality increased. The highest secondary production wasobtained in the group with 2,400 specimens/m (5.71 mg/m/day). Density management during thenursery stage of E. ziczac is discussed. 1995 artículo científico 0185-3880 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=48021401 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=480 Ciencias Marinas application/pdf Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Ciencias Marinas (México) Num.4 Vol.21
