BRASIL Ingeniería Economic Sun light Social technology This work aims to build a solar melter for beeswax that's sustainable and affordable for small beekeepers. The melter was handcrafted, avoiding the use of toxic equipment, and making use of low-cost tools. After the construction, testing was done in two phases seeking possible improvements. Throughout the first phase, tests happened at IFRN, for the duration of three days, from 7:00 to 8:00 a.m. and from 11:00 to 12:00 a.m., analyzing their efficiency in wax processing. At second phase, improvements were devised, based on previous results. According to the results, it was concluded that it's possible to have a low-cost, affordable retainer for small beekeepers.
