- Industrial applications and opportunities for nondestructive evaluation of structural wood members Frank C. Beall Agrociencias density grading microwave radiation adhesive curing This paper reviews techniques that can or have been used for determining the key properties ofstructural wood members, largely softwood lumber and structural panels. For solid wood materials, moisture content, density, and defects are underlying basic properties that must be assessed independentlyto arrive at structural values. In reconstituted materials, an additional variable, adhesive qualitydominates. In addition to reviewing these properties, an assessment is provided for the state of maturityof the relevant technologies. 2007 artículo científico 0717-3644 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=48590203 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=485 Maderas.
