contents MODELLING THE DYNAMICS OF ANTIBODY PRODUCTION IN BIRDS ANDRÉS OLARTE CARLOS CLAVIJO HERNANDO DÍAZ Ingeniería antibodies Avian immunology dynamical models This paper presents a dynamical model of avian immune response, for antibody production purposes. Antibodies are fundamental tools for research, diagnosis, and the treatment of several diseases. It has been recognized for some time that antibodies obtained from poultry are an effi cient alternative for applications in medicine and biology. Therefore, a dynamical model for this process might be very useful. The model being proposed consists of seven non-linear ordinary differential equations with constant coeffi cients thatrepresent the main cellular and molecular populations in avian immune response. Values for the parameters were obtained from avian and mammalian literature. In silico-generated responses in terms of antibody concentrations are presented and compared to reported kinetics. 2011 artículo científico 0012-7353 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=49622365021 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=496 Dyna application/pdf Universidad Nacional de Colombia Dyna (Colombia) Num.166 Vol.78
