contents Analysis of hydrogen production by anaerobic fermentation from urban organic waste Edilson León Moreno-Cárdenas Arley David Zapata-Zapata Fernando Álvarez-Mejía Ingeniería Hydrogen organic waste batch culture mathematical model anaerobic fermentati on The production of hydrogen by anaerobic fermentation of urban o rganic waste from fruits and vege tables was studied. Ten tests were carried out under an incomplete f actorial experiment design wit h four factors and three levels. The factors were: acidificatio n pH, acidification time, operational pH, and organic load. The respo nse variables were: maximum hydrogen content (%) and maximum hydrogen production (L/day). The results were fitted to a quadr atic polynomial model. In the cas e of the maximum hydrogen cont ent, an R 2 and an R 2 adjusted of 0.9987 and 0.988 were obtained, respectively. For the maxim um production, an R 2 and an R 2 adjusted of 0.9815 and 0.833 were obtained, respectivel y. Three mathematical technique s were used to obtain the maximu m values in the response variab les. Fuzzy logic showed the best fit between the experimental values and estimated values. In addition, it predicts a maximum hydro gen content of 58.5% and a maxi mum production of 63.4 L/day. 2015 artículo científico 0012-7353 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=49635366017 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=496 Dyna application/pdf Universidad Nacional de Colombia Dyna (Colombia) Num.189 Vol.82
