- Impact of previous acclimatization of biomass and alternative substrates in sunflower oil biodegradation Pedro Cisterna-Osorio Antonio Gutiérrez Lavin Herminio Sastre-Andres Ingeniería Fat and oils Acclimatization Biodegradability The aim of this work is to evaluate the incidence rate of the p revious acclimatization of biom ass and the presence of any othe r easily biodegradable substrates, such as sucrose. This experiment will be undertaken with sunflower oil biodegradation in a batch rea ctor with suspended biomass. It used a b iomass concentration of 5000 mg/l in batch reactors, and in every condition the elimination of o il by means of biodegradation was achieved with levels ranging from 10 to 9 0 % It was noticed that sludge acclimation substantially improv es biodegradation efficiency by incr easing the average biodegradat ion from a value of 30% to 80%. W hen adding sucrose to an accli matized biomass stage, biodegradation s unflower oil is reduced, from an average value of 80% to 60%. 2015 artículo científico 0012-7353 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=49642141007 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=496 Dyna application/pdf Universidad Nacional de Colombia Dyna (Colombia) Num.193 Vol.82
