Inparticular, both the use and non-use values of a professional footballteam are estimated using the contingent valuation method(CVM). Empirical evidence based on the results of the willingnessto-pay (WTP) figures derived from the estimation of logit and Tobitmodels suggests that a public good component exists for the team.Even though the magnitude of estimated WTP depends on the elicitationformat, the non-market value is a key factor to be includedin any cost-benefit analysis of the impact of the existence of a sportteam for its host city. 2007 artículo científico 1697-6223 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=50400702 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=504 Urban Public Economics Review application/pdf Universidade de Santiago de Compostela Urban Public Economics Review (España) Num.7
