  • NURSING CARE IN LIFE AND DEATH SITUATIONS: APPROACH TO JEAN WATSON’S CLINICAL CARITAS PROCESS Iraci dos Santos Nébia Maria Almeida de Figueiredo Rosimere Ferreira Santana Alysson Fabio Leandro Silva Rodrigo Soares Sampaio Aila Cistina dos Santos Alves Medicina Theory Nursing Healthcare Humane care Objective: With the theoretical support of the humane care proposal by Jean Watson, this study presents itself with the goal of study-evidence gathering through the application of the Clinical Caritas Process in scientific communications made by Brazilian nurses. In this sense, its objective is to identify the application of the Clinical Caritas Process (CCP) in nursing care, considering the conceptual elements of this theory. Method: Descriptive study, through analysis of content of scientific works, from the period 2000-2008, using humane care as the frame of reference. Results: Three thematic categories were defined, emphasizing that caretaking in nursing is: being with the client, helping it to grow, mature, and assume its own path, and meeting with it personally. Conclusion: The development of the CCP contributed to the nurse's qualifications in the confrontation of life and death situations of clients and people under their care. This study revealed a form of care manifested in the humane art of nursing that is characterized by intentional forms of caretaking-reconstitution. It also suggests the capacity within these forms. 2010 artículo científico 2175-5361 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=505750817014 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=5057 Revista de Pesquisa Cuidado é Fundamental Online application/pdf Universidade Federal do Estado do Rio de Janeiro Revista de Pesquisa Cuidado é Fundamental Online (Brasil) Num.1 Vol.2
