Methods : A qualitative study carried out in the course of August 2010 to June 2011 with eleven nursing students belonging to a HEI located in Juazeiro - EC . Data were obtained by applying an interview after the signing by the participants of the term of agreement . Results : W e found that students perceive the construction of their duties in relation to exercise nursing diagnosis as a product of theoretical and practical activities curriculum adopted by the IES study .
