- Assistência de enfermagem a idosos com traumas ósseos: uma revisão integrativa Ana Caroline Fonseca Landim Fernanda Machado Pinheiro Fernanda Soares Pessanha Luiz dos Santos Geilsa Soraia Cavalcanti Valente Medicina Idoso Nursing Elderly Enfermagem Traumatology Objective: T o describe the profile of the elderly victims of bone trauma and as how nursing has been active in assisting these clients. Method: integrative Review, held in LILACS database with the keywords: Elderly, Nursing and Trauma, in order to answer the following question: <<”What is the profile of the elderly who suffer from bone trauma and the role of nursing care to these customers?”>>. Results: people over 80 years old suffer more trauma primarily with neuromotor weaknesses, using multiple medications and como rbidities. Nursing care for the elderly is still traumatized poor because there was a significant incidence of iatrogenic complications. Conclusion: the risk factors for the occurrence of traumatic events in the elderly favor the loss of quality of life, i ncreased functional dependence, burden for caregivers and institutionalization.
