Method : historiographical operation from the perspective of micro- history, with time frame in the twentieth century. Results : For the admission of the newborn (NB), measures such as the use of wool hooded cloak or a combination of gauze with sterile cotton to wrap the NB should be employed, as well as the use of bottles with hot water and incubators for maintaining the temperature .
