Los procesos de diferenciación: el contexto general y los contextos inmediatos Jaime Llosa Larrabure Economía y Finanzas This article founds the different rationality of small farm production and thenecessity for elaborating specific strategies and politics adequate to thediversity of characteristics of this type of production. We propose a formof typifying the modes of small production based on the analysis of theircomportment within the immediate context. We also show the alternativeof the adoption of technology tied to the intensive use of manual labor andtake into account that this alternative could lead to more accentuatedsubordination and degradation of the unities of production, and alert thatthis risk is a result of the programs called upon to promote ruraldevelopment. A possible variant to this suggestion is the uniting of theindividual unities of production in an associative manner which couldpartially overcome the consequences of insinuated subordination of thedominant modes of production, making relations more symmetric andthereby diminishing the negative impact.
