| contents | Science, new technologies and armed conflict: Current situation and prospects Pere Brunet Comunicación livingry New weapons ecological footprint artificial intelligence robotic military systems In this article, we analyse the characteristics, perspectives, and dangers of modern warfare and the technologies involved. We examine new methods of warfare and the current state of robotic weapons and combat systems incorporating artificial intelligence technologies, exploring their most contentious and problematic aspects. Finally, we examine informed opinions from various sectors, particularly science, which highlight the significant challenges and issues facing humanity. These opinions are based on factual observations concerning ecological and planetary balance, as well as human dignity. Accompanying all of this are proposals for demilitarisation, diplomacy, decarbonisation, and global cooperation. 2025 artículo científico 2174-3487 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=511783271006 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5117/511783271006/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5117/511783271006/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5117/511783271006/511783271006.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5117/511783271006/movil 10.7203/metode.15.30610 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=5117 Mètode Science Studies Journal application/pdf Universitat de València Mètode Science Studies Journal (España) Num.8 Vol.15 |
