contents Método de difusión lumínica aplicado a la capacidad inhibitoria para epitopes ABO en Ascaris lumbricoides Patricia Foresto Juana Valverde Patricia Ponce de León Biología inhibition light scattering Ascaris lumbricoides ABO Blood Group System LIGHT DIFFRACTION OF SUSPENDED PARTICLES METHOD (LIGHTSCATTERING) APPLICABLE TO INHIBITORY CAPACITY IN RELATION TOABO EPITHOPES IN ASCARIS LUMBRICOIDESPrevious experiences have shown ABO epithopes presence in Ascaris lumbricoides. The aim of this work was to determine the inhibitory capacity ofA. lumbricoides in relation to ABO epithopes by light diffraction of suspendedparticles method (Light Scattering). Eight parasite extracts (AE)from B Group patients and 4 AE from A Group patients (AE with and withoutABO epithopes) were selected. The AE were faced against dilutions ofmonoclonal antibody (anti A or anti B). The exceeding antibody was neutralizedwith isogroup erythrocytes. The optical extinction of the agglutinateswas measured. The agglutination percentage versus antibody dilutionwas graficated. Titre-50 (T-50) was calculated. Inhibitory Power (IP) was defined as the relation between T-50 of the studied extract and T-50 of the control extractThe protein concentration of the AE was determined to express IP/ protein gram. IP valuesfor the AE with ABO epithopes were greater than 1. The IP/ protein gram made it possibleto obtain representative values of the ABO epithopes amount in each extract l. The utilizationof this method enabled corroboration of the ABO epithopes presence and comparisonof the inhibitory capacity for these epithopes between different extracts. 2005 artículo científico 0325-2957 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=53539408 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=535 Acta Bioquímica Clínica Latinoamericana application/pdf Federación Bioquímica de la Provincia de Buenos Aires Acta Bioquímica Clínica Latinoamericana (Argentina) Num.4 Vol.39
