A systematic review of the literature on the Personal Protective Equipment used by healthcare personnel for the care of patients with COVID-19 was carried out. The search strategies used were PubMed, SciELO, Scopus, Web of Science, and LILAC with the following keywords: COVID-19, Personal Protective Equipment and healthcare personnel, publications in English, Spanish, original and updated reviews. Keywords and Boolean AND and OR connections were used.
