The São Paulo military police is studied using a varied methodology, that made it possible to analyze the results of policing on the groups of color/race and police officers’ perceptions of institutional racism. Police brutality, new technologies and racism are associated with the maintenance of racialized practices for identifying suspects, projecting meaning onto some black corporalities and identity marks.
