  • Objective analysis of daily extreme temperatures over Indian region M. Mahakur P. N. Mahajan S. G Narkhedkar S. K. Sinha Biología Anisotropy optimum interpolation maximum and minimum temperatures An objective analysis scheme to analyze daily maximum and minimum temperatures over Indian region hasbeen developed. The daily data from 1970 to 1980 which are available with the India Meteorological Departmenthave been used. The autocorrelation and structure functions of these two fields have been computed separatelyfor every month of the year. Due to the strong anisotropy induced by the morphological characteristics ofcertain region, the observed autocorrelations have been modeled by a function which is not only a functionof distance between two locations but also a function of their difference in elevation. The analysis scheme isoptimum interpolation (using both types of correlation functions). 2004 artículo científico 0187-6236 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=56517402 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=565 Atmósfera application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Atmósfera (México) Num.4 Vol.17
