Stichler Ciencias de la Tierra hydrochemistry Active tectonics isotopic composition earthquakes precursors thermal and mineral waters Effects of the August 17, 1999 Ismit earthquake include to short-term changes in the composition of thermal and mineralwaters in the areas of Kuzuluk, Bursa, and Yalova/Gemlik along the North Anatolian Fault Zone. We report the results of groundwatersampling campaigns before and after the earthquake. For these three areas changes of isotopic composition in 2H and 18O of thewater, and in 13C of the dissolved species of inorganic carbon, as well as changes of some chemical constituents and physicalparameters, were observed. These changes are most probably related to the active tectonics of the area and to induced groundwatercirculation. 2002 artículo científico 0016-7169 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=56841405 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=568 Geofísica Internacional application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Geofísica Internacional (México) Num.4 Vol.41
