Peña M. A. Armienta L. Godínez J. L. Seidel Ciencias de la Tierra radon volcanic zone Groundwater chemistry major and trace elements Radon was determined in four springs and three wells from urban and agricultural zones in the middle part of theMexican Neovolcanic Belt. Major and trace elements were also determined in the water samples. The measurement techniquesincluded the liquid scintillation method for 222Rn, conventional chemical analyses for major components and ICP-MSfor metallic trace elements. The average radon concentration values were relatively low ranging from 0.97 to 4.99 Bq L-1indicating a rapid transit from recharge area to the output of the springs. The major and trace elements showed differences inthe origin of water for the studied sites. 2002 artículo científico 0016-7169 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=56841408 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=568 Geofísica Internacional application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Geofísica Internacional (México) Num.4 Vol.41
