- Earthquake-induced slope displacements E. Botero M. P. Romo Ciencias de la Tierra Slope kinematics discrete model seismic analysis This paper presents a finite-element analysis to evaluate earthquake-induced displacements in slopes. The procedure takesinto account the nonlinear characteristics of the materials, spatial variation of strength (friction) along the potential failure surfaceand the inertial effects of the sliding wedge considered as a flexible multi-degree of freedom system. The potential effects areshown through hypothetical cases using two different seismic events. The model proposed in this paper is compared with othermethods. 2003 artículo científico 0016-7169 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=56842206 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=568 Geofísica Internacional application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Geofísica Internacional (México) Num.2 Vol.42
