Pisciotta Ciencias de la Tierra Sicily SINTACS Hydrogeology Piana di Palermo Groundwater vulnerability Piana di Palermo is characterized by the presence of two different aquifers: one shallow, constituted by calcarenites and theother deep in fractured carbonates. The calcarenitic aquifer presents a low potential compared to the carbonatic aquifer. Thechemistry of the water in both aquifers reflects water-rock interaction, seawater intrusion, ionic exchange etc. The application ofSINTACS method showed that about 80% of the study area can be classified as of high to very high vulnerability. 2004 artículo científico 0016-7169 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=56843415 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=568 Geofísica Internacional application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Geofísica Internacional (México) Num.4 Vol.43
