| contents | Spectral signature of ultraviolet solar irradiance in Zacatecas J. L. Pinedo V. F. Mireles G. C. Ríos M. L. L. Quirino T. J. I. Dávila R. Ciencias de la Tierra Solar spectral irradiance ultraviolet climatology This study presents an analysis of the global ultraviolet spectral irradiance (290-400 nm) registered in Zacatecas, a citynear the Tropic of Cancer, located at 2500 m above sea level, latitude of 22° N and longitude of 102°W. The spectra have beenmeasured using a Bentham radiometer with a 0.5 nm step in wavelength. The measurements show relatively high levels ofultraviolet irradiance (UV), which may be characteristic of areas close to the Tropic of Cancer. Faced with an increase of theincidence of skin cancer among the population of Zacatecas, these measurements highlight that a damage prevention plan isrequired. 2006 artículo científico 0016-7169 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=56845405 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=568 Geofísica Internacional application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Geofísica Internacional (México) Num.4 Vol.45 |
