The cell is under a low-frequency electric field applied perpendicular to it and we take into consideration the dependence of the refractive index of the liquid crystal on the wavelength of the optical beam. The presence of the electric field gives rise to trajectories showing a non-trivial dependence of the beam’s range on the intensity of the applied electric field and on the wavelength of the beam.
