Vargas Rodriguez Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas bandgap Photonic materials In the paper, we present numerical results on characterization of transmitting properties of wideband filters based on linear and nonlinearphotonic crystals confined with the waveguide. Novel characteristics of the PhC filters such as density of modes maps and transmission mapsare computed, and their efficiency is analyzed. Presented characteristics can be used as an auxiliary optimization tools to reduce opticallosses when designing high-efficient optical interconnects.
