Varela Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas downward flux F+ upward flux An alternative analytical method of solution to radiative transfer equation in the two-stream approximation is studied. The method isformulated in terms of the diffusion-type equation for radiative transfer associated with the fluxes (irradiances) Fd = F+ - F- andFs = F+ + F-, where F+ and F- are defined as the upward and downward fluxes respectively. The diffusion-type equations areindependent and therefore the method of solution is algebraically easier and faster than that used to solve the two coupled differentialequations associated with F+ and F-. 2005 artículo científico 0035-001X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57063713 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=570 Revista Mexicana de Física application/pdf Sociedad Mexicana de Física A.C.
