Rojas H. F. Renero C. R. Pérez R. W. Calleja Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas collimators Optical system aperture materials infrared transmitting Design of afocal systems, for 1:5¹m wavelength, are presented. They are based on the Galilean Telescope, composed of a silicon negativemicrolens (305 ¹m diameter) and a positive lens chosen between 10 different materials, according to the best optical performance. Thespherical aberration and the Strehl ratio are used to compute the best optical performance. It is shown that the afocal system, that uses theZnSe as the positive lens, has the best optical performance.
