contents Understanding nlr in seyfert galaxies: numerical simulation of jet-cloud interaction A. Ferrari S. Massaglia P. Rossi A. Capetti G. Bodo Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas HYDRODYNAMICS GALAXIES: SEYFERT ISM: JETS AND OUTFLOWS Recent HST observations suggest that the NLR in Seyfert Galaxies can be theresult of interaction between jet and external inhomogeneous medium; following thissuggestion we perform numerical simulations considering the impact of a radiativejet on a dense cloud. We approach the problem by adopting a hydrodynamicalcode, that consents us to study in detail the jet hydrodynamics, while we choosea more simplied treatment of radiative processes, in order to give a qualitativelygood interpretation of the emission processes. Our three main purposes are: (i)to reproduce in our simulations the observed physical conditions, (ii) to obtainphysical constraints of the jet parameters and (iii) to study the jet capability tophotoionize the surrounding medium. 2000 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57100983 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.9
