- Mid-infrared spectroscopy with Sofia, exes, and Texes T. K. Greathouse D. T. Jaffe M. J. Richter J. H. Lacy Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas INSTRUMEN ISM: MOLECULES TATION: SPECTROGRAPHS INFRARED: ISM: LINES AND BANDS We are building two high resolution, mid{infrared spectrographs; the TexasEchelon{cross{Echelle Spectrograph (TEXES) is designed for ground{based tele-scopes and the Echelon{cross{Echelle Spectrograph (EXES) is designed for theStratospheric Observatory for Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA). Both spectrographsoperate at 4-28 m in three spectroscopic modes: a cross{dispersed mode withR 105, and longslit modes with either R 2 104 or R 4000. Both instru-ments use an echelon, a coarsely ruled, steeply blazed di raction grating, to achievehigh resolution. These instruments will be well suited for the study of molecularlines in the cold interstellar medium, around young stars, and in planets. 2001 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57101016 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.10
