- Long and short term variability in the seyfert galaxy mrk 110 W. Kollatschny W. F. Welsh Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas LINE: PROFILES GALAXIES: SEYFERT GALAXIES: INDIVIDUAL We briey review results of a long{term variability campaign on the Seyfert 1galaxy Markarian 110. Furthermore, we present new results based on data takenbetween November 1999 and April 2000 with the Hobby{Eberly Telescope (HET).Mrk 110 was monitored every three to ten days with the HET. The He II 4686 linefollows the continuum variations with a delay of only 5 days while the Balmer linesoriginate at distances over 23 light days. The intensity variations in the He II line areextremely strong. Interpreting the higher redshift of the broad HeII line component(with respect to the Balmer and narrow line components) as gravitational redshiftwe can estimate the central black hole mass. This value is 4 times higher than thevalue estimated from gas kinematics. 2001 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57101021 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.10
