The baryon distribution is spherically symmetric and consists ofa high density inner region and a low density outer region. As the temperaturedecreases neutrons di use to the outer region until they are homogeneously dis-tributed, and protons may be redistributed depending on how fast di usion occurs.Nucleosynthesis occurs earlier in the inner region and neutrons di use back to thatregion.
