contents Interferometric maser observations from outflows/disks in star-forming regions Guillem Anglada José M. Torrelles Nimesh A. Patel José F. Gómez Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas MASERS STARS:FORMATION ISM: JETS AND OUTFLOWS Interferometric maser observations of several molecular species (e.g., H2O, OH, CH3OH) provide a very powerfultool to study with high-angular resolution the molecular gas close to protostars. In this way, groups of maserspots have been found to be associated with radio-continuum jet sources in young stellar objects. In somecases, masers seem to be distributed in a band perpendicular to the central radio-continuum jet as might beexpected for accretion disks. In other cases, the masers seem to be distributed along the jet source, consistentwith being part of the outow. Recently, a new way to study these star-forming regions through Very LongBaseline Interferometry (VLBI) measurements of the proper motions of the associated masers has emerged. These observations provide angular resolutions up to a few tenths of a milliarcsecond (a few tenths of anastronomical unit at a distance of 500 pc). Here we review some of these studies. 2002 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57101321 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.13
