Silverman Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas GALAXIES: ISM GALAXIES: JETS GALAXIES: SEYFERT GALAXIES: INDIVIDUAL (MARKARIAN 78) The Seyfert 2 galaxy Markarian 78 o ers a rare opportunity to study the interaction of kpc scale radio outowswith the surrounding emission line gas. Using VLA and HST imaging and spectroscopy we identify a number ofsignatures of the interaction, including jet disruption and deection.
