contents A Near-infrared view of the Narrow Line Region of AGN Rogério Riffel Elaine Aparecida Carvalho Alberto Rodríguez-Ardila Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas stars: pre H II regions main sequence stars: mass loss ISM: jets and outflows We report on the most complete spectral atlas of active galactic nuclei (AGN) in the near-infrared region (NIR) published to date. The main goal is to construct a homogeneous database at good S/N and spectral resolution allowing the study of the continuum and emission line properties of individual sources and the comparison of these properties among the different types of AGN. We identify the most important emission features detected and confirm the usefulness of the [Fe II]/Paβ vs H2/Brγ diagram to separate emission line objects by their degree of nuclear activity. We found that the NIR offers valuable information for the broad and narrow line regions, adding important constraints to the 0 of the physical properties of the nuclear gas. 2008 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57103227 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.32
