contents Uch II regions with extended envelopes Kee Tae Kim Bon Chul Koo Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas H II REGIONS STARS: FORMATION We present radio continuum and recombination line observations of 16 UCH II regions with large ratios ofsingle-dish to VLA uxes. All the sources but one are physically associated with extended emission. TheUCH II regions and their extended envelopes are likely to be excited by the same ionizing sources. Therefore, almost all the observed UCH II regions are not likely to be real UCH II regions but ultracompact cores of moreextended H II regions. We consider the origin of extended emission and discuss its implications on the ageproblem of UCH II regions. 2002 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57112011 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.12
