Liu Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas PLANETARY NEBULAE: ABUNDANCES PLANETARY NEBULAE: INDIVIDUAL (NGC 6153) Considering the prototypical case of NGC 6153, it is shown that photoionization models comprising two com-ponents with di erent chemical compositions can account quantitatively for most of the spectral features ofthose planetary nebulae in which the optical recombination lines seem to indicate abundances much larger thanthe collisionally excited lines. Contrary to a common belief, the recombination lines then no longer reect theaverage nebular abundances. In particular, uctuations of composition within PNe may lead to overestimationof the helium abundance. 2002 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57112047 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.12
