| contents | Chemical composition of globular cluster and halo post-agb stars C. J. Mooney L. H. Aller W. R. J. Rolleston P. L. Dufton F. P. Keenan J. V. Smoker D. L. Pollacco Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas AGB TYPE STARS: EARLY STARS: ABUNDANCES STARS: AGB AND POST We present results of model atmosphere analyses of two post-AGB stars, ZNG-1 in the globular cluster M10 andthe halo star PG1704+222. A di erential abundance analysis reveals typical post-AGB abundance patterns, both stars being generally metal poor with approximately solar He. Large C depletions, observed in all hotpost-AGB objects, are conrmed. The C deciency may suggest that hot post-AGB stars evolve o the AGBbefore the third dredge-up begins. However, Fe depletions observed in other similar stars suggest that gas-dustfractionation in the AGB progenitor is responsible for the observed composition of these objects. 2002 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57112076 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.12 |
