When the stars explodeas supernovae, the resulting shock wave expands within this modied medium and not within the interstellarmedium. We explore the evolution of the medium around massive stars, and the expansion of the shock wavewithin this medium. We then apply these results to understanding the expansion of the shock wave in theambient medium surrounding SN 1987A, and the evolution of the radio and X-ray emission in this case 2007 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57130010 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Vol.30
