contents Multiple Flow Interactions in a Proplyd Binary System I. The Interproplyd Shell William J. Henney Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas STARS: PRE H II REGIONS HYDRODYNAMICS MAIN SEQUENCE BINARIES: VISUAL The Orion nebula proplyd 168{326 (LV 1) consists of a pair of photoevaporation flows, one from the circumstellar disk of each member of a protostellarbinary system. The two flows collide at mildly supersonic velocities, producing adense interproplyd shell bounded by two weak shocks, while further interactionsoccur between the individual photoevaporation ows and the stellar wind from theionizing star 01 Ori C. I show how observations of the interproplyd shell allow thegeometry of the binary system to be usefully constrained and investigate to whatextent the weak shocks may directly contribute to the observed shell emission atoptical and radio wavelengths. 2002 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57138108 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Num.1 Vol.38
