contents A new determination of the rotation curve from galactic disk planetary nebulae L. G. Lago W. J. Maciel Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas PLANE TARY NEBULAE GALAXY: KINEMATICS AND DYNAMICS The galactic rotation curve is determined on the basis of a large sample ofplanetary nebulae with known radial velocities. Four distance scales are adoptedand the curve is established for galactocentric distances of 4 to 14 kpc, approximately, adopting R0 = 8:5 kpc for the galactocentric distance of the LSR. The mainconclusions are: (i) there is no indication of a measurable decrease of the rotationcurve beyond the solar circle; (ii) there are no important di erences among the statisticaldistance scales considered, irrespective of the \short" or \long" nature of thescale, even though individual nebulae can have very diferent distances accordingto the diferent scales, and (iii) the derived curves are similar to the rotation curvederived from H II regions, taking into account the fact that PN are generally olderobjects and have larger velocity components perpendicular to the galactic plane. 2005 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57141202 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Num.2 Vol.41
