contents Chemical composition in fast rotators main sequence stars Celia Rosa Fierro L. Georgiev Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas type stars: early stars: rotation stars: abundances Using public data of the Ultraviolet and Visual Echelle Spectrograph ParanalObservatory Project (UVES POP) the projected rotational velocities, v sin i, for 16stars in the field of the galactic cluster IC 2391 (o Vel Cluster) were obtained usingthe method of the Fourier transform (FT). We found that only 12 of these objectsare cluster members and separating them in two sets (main sequence stars andevolved stars) a correlation of the rotation velocity with the effective temperaturewas found, indicating a nearly equal orientation of the rotation axis for the memberstars. The ratios N/C and O/C obtained for the main sequence stars increase withv sin i and show evidence of mixing induced by rotation. 2008 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57144115 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Num.1 Vol.44
