- Optimal trajectories to Kuiper Belt Objects D. M. Sanchez A. A. Sukhanov A. F. B. A. Prado Física, Astronomía y Matemáticas Haumea Quaoar Methods Makemake numerical The present paper searches for transfers from the Earth to three of the Kuiper Belt Objects (KBO): Haumea, Makemake, and Quaoar. These trajectories are obtained considering different possibilities of intermediate planet gravity assists. The model is based on the “patched-conics” approach. The best trajectories are found by searching for the minimum total javax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@99303e transfer for a given launch window, inside the 2023-2034 interval, and disregarding the javax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@1bec583 required for the capture at the target object. The results show transfers with duration below 20 years that spend a total javax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@1caa37a under 10 km/s. There is also one trajectory for each of the KBOs with javax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@131145 under 10 km/s and duration below 10 years, using the Jupiter swingby. For the 20-year trajectories, there are also asteroids in the main belt that could be encountered with low additional javax.xml.bind.JAXBElement@1f0c439, so increasing the scientific return of the mission. 2019 artículo científico 0185-1101 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57171616006 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/571/57171616006/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/571/57171616006/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/571/57171616006/57171616006.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/571/57171616006/movil en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=571 Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Astronomía y Astrofísica (México) Num.1 Vol.55
