contents Petrographic and geochemical characteristics of upper Aptian calc-alkaline volcanism in San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato state, Mexico Kinardo Flores Castro Otilio Arturo Acevedo Sandoval Luis Enrique Ortiz Hernández Ciencias de la Tierra calc Mexico Guanajuato petrography geochemistry A volcanic sequence formed by calc-alkaline basalts and basaltic andesites interbedded withpelagic limestones, black shales, radiolarites, and epiclastic rocks that are in tectonic contact withflysch-like strata, is reported in the vicinity of San Miguel de Allende, in Guanajuato state. An upperAptian age is suggested by paleontological evidence. The sequence is interpreted as the eastern remnantof an allochthonous, lower Cretaceous volcanic stage in central Mexico. 2002 artículo científico 1026-8774 https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=57219201 en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=572 Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Geológicas application/pdf Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México Revista Mexicana de Ciencias Geológicas (México) Num.2 Vol.19
