contents Phenotypic trait association studies in brinjal upon drought stress M. Faizan B.N. Harish Babu D. Lakshmana M. Ganapathi M. Rakshith Agrociencias Brinjal drought fruit yield moisture stress phenotypic correlation Eggplant is popularly known as poor man’s vegetable. With respect to present situation of climatic challenges, fruit yield of eggplant is reduced due to drought or moisture stresses. In view of this condition, an experiment was aimed to study character association between yield and yield components in eggplant. The resultant outcome from correlation analysis computed among nine eggplant characters indicated that traits like plant height and total plant length at harvesting, fruit length and number of fruits per plant significantly correlated with fruit yield per plant. Whereas, traits like plant height and total plant length observed at harvesting stage, number of days for flower initiation, number of primary branches, fruit length and average fruit weight were significantly associated with fruit yield per plant under moisture stressed condition. 2022 artículo científico 0973-354X https://www.redalyc.org/articulo.oa?id=577073682012 https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5770/577073682012/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5770/577073682012/html/ https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5770/577073682012/577073682012.epub https://www.redalyc.org/journal/5770/577073682012/movil en http://www.redalyc.org/revista.oa?id=5770 Journal of Horticultural Sciences application/pdf Society for Promotion of Horticulture Journal of Horticultural Sciences (India) Num.2 Vol.17
