Velázquez José Luis Díaz Medicina subjectivity interoceptive cue psychopharmacology drug discrimination Animal consciousness The aim of the present paper is to formulate an argument infavor of animal consciousness and subjectivity in the case ofdrug discrimination. Thus, animals are said to be able to recognizeinternal states and use them as cues to guide theiraction in the experimental paradigm of discrimination.
